Youth

The future of the goat industry is entrusted to our youth.  To show our appreciation to the young people who are getting involved in the goat industry, we would like to spotlight selected youth.  If you are a parent or guardian of children with goats and would like to nominate them for this feature, please click on the link below.

4-H & Youth Programs
There are several youth programs in Alberta for young goat enthusiasts. Participants learn how to care for goats, select and prepare goats for shows, and showmanship. They also attend shows with their goats, such as the Westerner Goat Show in Red Deer in July, the Olds Fair and Rodeo Goat Show in Olds, Alberta in August and Goat Gala at Farm Fair International in Edmonton in November.
